There is beauty all around us — from that glorious sunrise … to the smile of baby … to the lovely rose bush in our garden … to that breathtaking symphony. All point to the beauty of our ever-loving God. Yet, there is ugliness in our world, as well — violence, war, abuse of many kinds. It is ours to recognize beauty as a gift from our creating God and, in the words of Demetreus Dunn, OSB, try “to create beauty wherever it does not exist.” Can we accept that challenge? Join us for Simply Prayer: Beauty Ever New, a morning of prayer and sharing of God’s great beauty in and around us. We also will pray for the many parts of our world suffering from destruction and loss of their beautiful homeland.
