In her book The Flowing Grace of Now, author Macrina Wiederkehr explores the sacrament of the present moment — attentiveness to the now moments of our lives. Through this lens, this special retreat weekend welcomes us to look for our true selves and discover how and why we get trapped in our false selves, ensnared in a cognizant dissonance — an erroneous way of thinking. Why is it difficult to believe in and accept God’s unconditional love? Why do we seem to be never enough? Why do we lose the rhythm of our being?
Through input, silence, prayer and sharing, we will seek the now meaning of Jessica Power’s words: “The soul that wanders, Spirit led, becomes, in His transforming shade, the secret that she was, in God, before the world was made.” — This Trackless Solitude
