Spend a musical summer evening with our Sisters in Bethlehem, Pa., as we host Music in the Meadow, featuring local singer and songwriter Rachel Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, August 11. Pack your picnic basket and bring a lawn chair, blanket or mat to the meadow behind the White House convent to hear Rachel perform her original music and pay tribute to some beloved female artists. Admission is free, but please kindly click here to RSVP so that we know how many folks to expect.
About the Performer: Rachel was born and raised in the Lehigh Valley area before pursuing her music career at William Paterson University. She grew up a classically trained pianist, practicing and performing since the age of 5. Rachel began writing songs in high school under the influence of contemporary artists such as Alicia Keys, Vanessa Carlton and Norah Jones. Later in life, she developed a deep affinity for jazz and blues, inspired by female singers such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James, to name a few. Her original songs are rooted in love and love lost, stories about life, and remaining true to oneself.
