About the Presenter: Jen Topp has been gardening since she was a little kid, helping her mother (begrudgingly at first) with weeding a suburban flower garden and, later, tending a small farm garden full of asparagus, grapes and fruit trees. A trained chef as well as an avid gardener, Jen is passionate about knowing where her food comes from and loves growing, cooking and preserving a wide variety of nutrient-dense food for her friends and family. When she’s not in the garden, she is lucky to work in a job she is equally passionate about at Lehigh University's College of Health, where she advises students and connects them to experiential learning opportunities. She also is the secretary of the Monocacy Farm Project Board of Directors, which combines her love of gardening with community-building and stewardship.
