A Night at the Races

AN EVENING OF FOOD & FUN
WITH THE SCHOOL SISTERS OF ST. FRANCIS

Our Sisters invite you to join them for an evening of food and fun at their 2020 A Night at the Races event, set for Saturday, February 1, 2020, in the auditorium at Mt. Assisi Place in Pittsburgh. Proceeds will benefit our ministry work.

The event is very much like being at the racetrack, except that the 10 races are on video. Patrons place bets for each race (usually $2 per bet) and take part in raffles and door prize drawings throughout the evening.

Ramp up your fun by purchasing and naming horses, jockeys and trainers for $10 each. If your horse wins — whether you’re present or not — you receive a $25 winner’s purse. It’s fun to name horses after friends, grandchildren, high school nicknames and even favorite TV characters and sports stars. Get creative!

Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner is served at 6:30 p.m., and the first race starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 per person and include admission, food, beer, wine and soda. The menu will include meatball sandwiches, hot dogs with or without sauerkraut, potato salad, baked beans, cake and snacks. This over-21 event is also BYOB.

Mt. Assisi Place is located at (GPS address) 1515 Quaill Avenue, Pittsburgh PA 15202. All parking and entry will be around the back of the building.
