Sister Ann Margaret Bolf, formerly known as Sister Louis, a member of the School Sisters of St. Francis of the United States Province and in her 63rd year of profession, died on June 27, 2015 at Mount Assisi Convent Motherhouse in Bellevue, Pa., at the age of 92.

Sister Ann Margaret entered the community from St. Aloysius Church (Wilmerding, Pa.) in 1951 and professed her first vows in 1952 at Mount Assisi Convent in Pittsburgh, Pa. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education from Carlow University and a Master of Science in Education from Duquesne University, both in Pittsburgh. After teaching in parish elementary schools for many years, Sister attended courses at Duquesne and Carlow to become certified in religion, parish social service and accredited to minister to the mentally challenged.

Throughout her years in education, Sister Ann Margaret taught in the parishes in Hellertown, Barnesboro, Charleroi, North Side Pittsburgh, Clymer, Canonsburg, Erie, Tarentum, Farrell, Perryopolis and Ellsworth in Pennsylvania, and in Clarksburg, Wva. Sister Ann Margaret used her gifts in helping troubled children at St. Joseph Home for Children in Dayton, Ohio, where she spent four years. Her training in parish social service was welcomed in St. Catherine of Sweden in Wildwood and in Canonsburg, Pa. In 2000, Sister came to Mount Assisi Convent to minister to the retired sisters as their driver, something that she enjoyed doing. In her later years she entered into the ministry of prayer, which she did until she died. Sister Ann Margaret will be remembered for her interest in the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, as she attended their games any chance she had.

Sister Ann Margaret was the daughter of the late Louis and Lillian (Kussan) Bolf. She was preceded in death by her brothers Peter, George and William; her sisters Lillian Krall and Katherine Matiasic. She is survived by her religious community and her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
