Jubilees are always joyous events as they bring to mind all the years of service rendered by the sisters and all the people whose lives were touched by the sisters. This year 7 sisters celebrated their years of commitment and service at a celebration held at Mount Assisi Convent in Pittsburgh on June 19th. A second celebration will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Chapel at Monocacy Manor, Bethlehem on July 18th.
The Liturgical celebration at Mount Assisi was followed by a festive dinner for the sisters and their guests. Many memories were shared of entrance into religious life, formation stories, the early years as sisters, families and their roles in strengthening the vocations of the sisters, ministries cheerfully performed and people whose lives intertwined with the those of the jubilarians. All left feeling enriched in mind, spirit and body and in greater awe of the marvelous wonder of God’s faithful love.
